There is a BIG problem going on right now.
And if you’ve landed on this page, you probably already know what it is.
I’m talking about religious indoctrination.
Having beliefs that help guide you through life can be healthy and provide a sense of peace.
However, there’s a difference between having beliefs that you’ve carefully cultivated on your own and being indoctrinated with the beliefs of a particular group.
Religious indoctrination is a huge problem because it suppresses independent thinking and individuality.
Here’s the even bigger problem…
Religious indoctrination does not occur in a vacuum.
It is nearly always intertwined with dysfunctional family dynamics.
Underlying mental health issues may compound the problem. OR, mental health issues may arise from the indoctrination experience.
I’m sure you can see why this is such a problem…
One issue generates the next while also compounding the previous issue.
I want you to know — I get it.
As an exvangelical psychotherapist, I am personally AND professionally aware of the complex nature of these issues.
Having found freedom myself, I am now super-passionate about helping others find freedom from religious harm.
I help people untangle themselves from the mind control of harmful religious indoctrination so they can:
- start healing from religious trauma
- figure out how to navigate family dynamics
- and either resolve or learn to more effectively cope with mental health challenges
Let’s Unpack this Together.
Recovering from religious indoctrination can be a very isolating process, especially if the majority of your social supports are members of the religious group you’re now moving away from.
And as someone who’s gone through this process, I understand many of the unique challenges you’re up against.
I want you to know — you don’t have to do it alone.
